New Look, New Website

My debut book won’t come out for almost another nine months. It seems so far away, yet time flies by so quickly. I’ve already filled out the information for my art facts sheet, which helps the artists work on my book cover. The thought of seeing my very first book cover is beyond exciting. I can’t even explain it. I know it’ll take a few months before I get to see it, but I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

I also know that soon, I should be working on line edits. The thought frightens me. Big time. I think a little bit of fear will always be in the back of my mind. What if I’m not good enough? What if they decide to recant the offer? Yeah, those thoughts still continue. I don’t think reality will sit in until I’m actually holding a copy of my book in my hands.

Anyway, I’ve been preparing for that moment, even though it’s several months away, when I step out into the spotlight for a short time. I don’t want to be caught in my ragged sweats and curlers in my hair, so I’ve spruced up the place a little bit. I little bit of polish can go a long way, you know. 😉

Although I’ve simplified the look of my blog, not much else will change. I’ll keep posting Ancestry tidbits as long as I still have them, and I’ll keep posting much like I have. What has changed is that I’ve added a website. See the image on the sidebar that says Christina, that will take you to my website. That is where you’ll find things like links for writers, pictures from my writing related trips, and living gluten free.

One of the reasons behind this change is that I needed to bring some focus into who I am as a writer, as a person. I’m just plain Christina. I ramble, which is what I love about having a blog. I can journal about anything I want to, when I want to and how I want to. If people are interested then they can come over here and read whatever it is I have on my mind. If they are just looking for information about my upcoming books, then they can visit the website and simply find the Book tab.

I’m still working out a few kinks on the website and over here as well, but I’m going to try my best to keep it simply stupid for my own sanity.

Let me know what you think. I’ll try to take comments into consideration. My web design is very limited, which leaves me limited in what I can do.

Hope you enjoy the sites.

Christina
