GOD IS SO STINKIN’ AWESOME

But you knew that already, didn’t you?

So yesterday, last night, I was working myself into a full out tizzy. I hadn’t started the hyperventilating yet, but I was close. I was feeling beyond overwhelmed. You know when you have 20 projects to do and they’re all pressing at one time and you can’t think of which one to put off for another moment. Yeah, magnify that about 50 times and you have what’s going on in my brain, or was.

I knew when I woke up this morning that the only way my day was going to work was to start it with the Lord. It’s so full of busyness that I knew I was going to lose my mind if I didn’t.

Well, wanting to keep things simple this morning, I dove into Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.

This is the day that I have made. Rejoice and be glad in it.

Begin the day with open hands of faith, ready to receive all that I am pouring into this brief portion of your life. Be careful not to complain about anything, even the weather, since I am the Author of your circumstances. The best way to handle unwanted situations is to thank Me for them. This act of faith frees you from resentment and frees Me to work My ways into the situation, so that good emerges from it.

To find joy in this day, you must live within its boundaries. I knew what I was doing when I divided time into twenty-four-hour segments. I understand human frailty, and I know that you can bear the weight of only one day at a time. Do not worry about tomorrow or get stuck in the past. There is abundant Life in My Presence today.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (KJV)

Philippians 3:12-14 I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. (The Message)

Okay, so my time is short today, but I wanted to just send a huge shout out to the Lord for reminding me that this is His day, not mine!

Have a blessed day!!!!!
